Violence against women* and (their) children is an everyday reality worldwide.
In Germany, it is estimated that every one in four women* experiences domestic violence at some point in their life. This includes various forms of violence. In addition to physical violence (e.g., pushing, kicking, hitting), this also includes sexualized as well as psychological violence. Constant devaluation, humiliation or intimidation, but also control and isolation can be forms of domestic violence.
